Oh Happy Day Tutorial

This tutorial was created by myself on March 25th, 2011.

Supplies needed:

Scrap kit by wicked Princess Scraps called Oh Happy Day. You can download it HERE.

Tube of Choice. The one I'm using was a freebie from Lady Mishka when she was at Picsfordesign.com. If you like her artwork then you can buy her work at PSP Tubes Emporium

Font of choice. I used the font Beautiful ES. You can download it HERE.

Filter Mura Meister Copies
Eyecandy 4000 Gradient Glow
VM Extravaganza transmission

Let's begin.

Open a new transparent image 600x600.

Open WP_OHD_RoseCluster. Paste on your working canvas. Resize 40% smart size. Go to effects Mura Meister Copies. See my screenshot for the settings I used.

I then resized my flowers by 90% smart size. I then sharpened my "frame". Duplicate your frame layer. On the bottom layer go to adjust blur gaussian blur radius 10.00. Still on the layer we just blurred go to VM Extravaganza transmission and apply with default settings.

Now highlight your top frame layer. Grab your magic wand and click in the middle of your frame and then modify expand by 8. Open paper of choice and paste as a new layer below your frame layer. I used paper 20. Invert and hit delete on your keyboard. Do not deselect.

Open WP_OHD_Dangle. paste as a new layer under your frame but above the paper layer. Position toward the top of your frame. Once happy with the position hit delete on your keyboard. Do not deselect.

The tube I used came with the bunny that I pasted in the center of my frame but the scrap kit has a cute bunny you could use or something else if you choose. Once you have your image in the center of the frame delete any that is hanging over the edges of the frame. Dropshadow your frame the dangle and your image you pasted in the center.

Now make sure your on your top layer and paste your main tube. Position where you think she looks best. Duplicate your tube and then adjust blur Gaussian blur radius 3.00 on your top duplicated tube. Go to blend mode and change the blend mode to soft light. Dropshadow your original tube.

Now here is where you can make the tag yours add any elements from the kit you like. Don't forget to dropshadow them. I just used the basket with eggs and positioned it so it looked like she was holding it.

If you want to resize now is the time. After I resize I always sharpen each layer using unsharp mask with the settings below.

Add your copyright. Doing this after you resize keeps it from becoming blurry. Then I add my name. I used Paper 8 as the fill for my font.

FTU Tutorial Happy St. Patricks Day

This tutorial was written by me on February 27th 2011. Any resemblance to another tutorial is purely coincidental. I created this tutorial using Paint Shop Pro X

but it should be able to be done in any version.

I'm using the stunning artwork of Tom Hoover. Don't use the same tube without a license. I purchased my tube from My PSP Tubes when Tom Hoover was with them. I'm not sure where he's at now.

Supplies:

The beautiful scrap kit St. Patty from Fantasy Moments. You can download it here.

Tube of choice.

Font of choice.

Mask of choice or you may use the same one I used from Sabre at The Quill and Parchment. I used his Clover's Daydream mask called Irish Gaelic Good Luck. You can download it here.

Eye Candy 4000 Gradient Glow.

Now onto the tutorial. Remember to safe often.

Open a new transparent image 700X700 so we have plenty of room to work. We will resize later.

Select all and open paper 17 or paper of choice. Paste into selection and select none. Open your mask in paint shop pro. Go to layers new mask from image and apply your mask. Merge group. I duplicated my mask layer twice then merge visible. This just made the mask a little darker.

From the scrap kit open element 59. Copy and paste as a new layer onto your working canvas don't resize. Grab your magic wand and click in the center of your shamrock then go to selections and modify, expand by 5. Open paper 18 or one of your choice. Paste the paper as a new layer and move it under your frame. Go to selections and invert. Make sure your on the paper layer and tap the delete key on your keyboard. Select none. Drop shadow your shamrock with drop shadow of choice.

Open from the scrap kit element 4 resize it 70% . Copy and paste onto your working canvas move to the top left of the shamrock. Dropshadow of your choice.

From the scrap kit open element 44 and resize 70%. Copy and paste onto your working canvas. Move to the bottom of your shamrock. Dropshadow of choice.

Open your tube of choice and copy paste onto your working canvas. Position her like I have mine or where you think it looks best. Dropshadow of choice.

Open Element 32 from the scrap kit. Resize 50% and then resize 70%. Copy and paste onto your working canvas. Position it at the bottom right of the pot of gold. Dropshadow of choice.

Open element 73 and resize 50%. Copy and paste onto your working canvas. Move it down to the bottom left of the pot of Gold. Dropshadow of choice.

Open element 57 resize 50% and then resize 70%. Copy paste onto your working canvas. Position down on the bottom left of the pot of gold. Dropshadow of choice.

Open Element 56 resize 50% and then resize70%. Copy and paste onto your working canvas. Position next to the little shamrock girl bear. Dropshadow of choice.

Now you can either add more elements of your choice or you can resize your tag.

I always resize my tags before I add my copyright or name so that both stay sharp. I resize my tag by 600X600 pixels all layers. Once I resize I sharpen each layer using unsharp mask my settings are: Radius 1.00 Strength 75 Clipping 4.

Add your copyright. I use font pixelette size 10 then I add a gradient glow to it.

On my wording I used the font Cry Unical size 48 for the Happy St. Patricks Day with a gradient glow of choice. My name is same font but size 65 with the same gradient glow as I used on the other words.

Santa's Workshop Tutorial FTU

This tutorial was written by me on November 18th, 2008. Any resemblance to another tutorial is purely coincidental. I created this tutorial using Paint Shop Pro X but should be able to be done in any version.

Supplies:

I'm using the beautiful artwork of Suzanne Woolcott. You must own a license to use her artwork. To purchase her artwork and a license then visit here.

I'm using a wonderful scrapkit from Kittz Kreations called Santa's Workshop she posted it on her blog on Oct. 12th and you can download it at her blog here.

The mask I'm using can be found at essex girl and it's under her masks on page 26. it's called Sg_Christmas 10. Go here.

The winter scene in my tag is from Rainbow Coffi and you can find her stuff here. You must register but it's free to register.

Let's Begin:

Open a new canvas 600x600 and flood fill white. We will crop and resize later.

Open paper 2 copy and paste as a new layer onto your canvas. Go to layers down to load/save mask and find your mask and apply with my settings.

Merge group. Open the window that is in my supplies. Copy and paste as a new layer. Use your selection tube to draw a rectangle around your window panes. Add a new layer and flood with white (this is so your red mask doesn't show through your winter scene.) Move this layer below your window layer now find the winter scene mist you want to use and copy and paste it as a new layer. If your using the Rainbow coffi winter scene that I used then resize it 110% then go to selections invert and hit delete on your keyboard. Select none and then merge down your winter scene onto your white fill layer.

Open party bow2 from the kit resize the bow 50% then repeat the resize. Paste as a new layer on your tag and move up to the left top corner of your window. Sharpen the bow then duplicate it and go to image mirror it and place it on the top right corner of your window. Dropshadow your window and both the bows. Use my settings below.

Open Christmas tree with gifts. Resize 50% and paste as a new layer. Position the tree where you think it looks best. Dropshadow the tree with the same settings.

Open the tubes you want to use and resize if needed. Position them on your tag where you think they look best. Dropshadow your tubes.

Add any other embellishments that you would like and make sure to dropshadow.

Open the Christmas wordart and select the one you want to use resize 50% and then resize 80% two times. Sharpen and place at the top of your tag. Dropshadow your wordart.

Now click on your winter scene layer and highlight it. Go to effects and down to your plugins and find your xenofex 2 constellation. Use my settings below.

Resize your tag.

Now add your proper copyrights for you tubes and license number if needed.

Set your foreground color to black and your background color to pattern and find paper 4. Make sure you have paper 4 open and minimized on your workspace. I provided the font I used for my tag in the supplies so open it up or use another font. Type out your text convert to raster layer. Dropshadow your text.

Save your tag as a Jpeg and your done.

Winterlicious Tutorial FTU

I created this tutorial on November 15, 2008. If this tutorial resembles any other tutorial it's by accident this was created completely from my mind and knowledge of psp. It was created in PSP X but should work for any version.

Supplies you will need:

Scrapkit of choice or the scrapkit I used called Winterlicious which you can download here.

Mask is called sg_braided star. You can download it from essexgirl. Go here then go to masks and it's under her masks page 26.

Font of choice.

Let's Begin

Open a new canvas 600x600 flood fill white. We will crop and resize later. Add a new raster layer go to selections and select all. Open paper 8 or your choice from the scrapkit. Paste the paper into selection. Select none. Go to layers and down to load/save mask and find your mask. Apply using my settings.

Merge mask group. Open frame 2 resize 80% smartsize. Copy and paste as a new layer on your top of your mask go to image free rotate and use my settings.

Grab your magic wand and click in the center of your frame go to selections, modify expand by 5. Open paper 4 or your choice. Paste as a new layer then go to selections invert and hit delete on your keyboard. Don't deselect, move your paper layer under frame. Now open the tube you want to use and paste as a new layer under your frame and resize if needed. Position your tube how you like and then hit delete on your keyboard. Now dropshadow your tube with my settings ( we will use the same settings throughout the tutorial).

Open the snowman from the kit and resize 50% smartsize place inside the frame and position how you want it make sure your snowman is under your tube also. Now dropshadow your snowman and your frame.

Open bow 3 or your choice resize 80% and paste as a new layer. Position at the bottom of your frame see my tag for reference. Dropshadow your bow.

Open the mittens from the kit resize 50% and paste as a new layer move to the top left side of your frame and dropshadow. Open button 2 or your choice from the kit and resize 50% and then repeat resize. Move up over the mitten strings and dropshadow.

Open flower 1 resize 50% then resize 80% place on the top right side of your frame see my tag for reference. Dropshadow your flower. Open flower 2 resize 50% then resize 80% 2 times. Place by the other flower and dropshadow.

Add your proper copyrights and license numbers.

Time for your text I used Wedding Invitation 2 font. Set your foreground to #75c6dc and your background to paper 9. Type out your text then convert to raster layer. Dropshadow.

That's it your done.

Thanksgiving Blessings Tut FTU

Thanksgiving Blessings this tutorial was created by me on November 13, 2008. If this tutorial resembles another tutorial its by accident. This tutorial was created from my own ideas and things I have learned using PSP. This tutorial was done in PSP X but should be able to be done in any version.

Supplies you will need:

Tube of choice I'm using the fantastic artwork of Scott Blair and you must have a license to use his artwork. Do Not Use The Same Tube Unless You Have The Proper License To Do So. You can purchase a license here.

Thanksgiving Blessings scrapkit which you can download at Trish's awesome blog dreamland designs here.

Let's Begin

Open your template and hold down shift and D to duplicate your template. Delete the copyright layer. Close your original template. Click on your white background layer to highlight it. Then add a new raster layer, set your foreground color to #602d00 and flood fill your new raster layer. Open your mask that is in my supplies and minimize it on your workspace. Go to layers and new mask layer and use my settings below.

Delete your mask and click yes on the pop up window. Merge group. Duplicate your mask layer 2 times so you have a total of 3 mask layers. Close off your two duplicate mask layers and click on your original mask layer. Go to effects down to plugins and find your plugin Xenofex 2 Constellations and use my settings below.

Close off your original layer and open your next mask layer apply constellation to that layer but make sure to hit random seed once. Close off that layer and apply constellation to your 3rd mask layer but hit random seed one time on that layer also. Now go back to your original mask layer and choose your change to target brush and make sure your foreground color is still #602d00 and colorize your constellations with the target brush. Do this to all mask layers.

Now click on your circle layer and select all float, defloat, modify smooth both settings at 10. You should have your scrapkit open on your workspace. Find paper 2 and copy and paste it as a new layer onto your template. Go to selections and down to invert then hit delete on your keyboard. Now select none and delete your circle layer. Now dropshadow your circle with my settings below.

Now click on your frame layer select all float, defloat and flood fill with #602d00. Click on rectangle 3 and select all, float, defloat, modify smooth same settings as before. Paste paper 2 as a new layer selections invert hit delete on your keyboard. Delete your original rectangle layer and then dropshadow. Click on rectangle 1 selections select all, float, defloat, modify smooth same settings. Paste paper 2 selections invert delete on your keyboard. Delete your rectangle 1 original layer. Dropshadow your rectangle. Click on rectangle 2 selections select all, float, defloat, modify smooth. Copy and paste paper 4 as a new layer selections invert delete. Delete your original rectangle 2 layer and dropshadow.

Select your magic wand then click on your frame layer. Click in the center of your frame then selections modify expand and expand by 3. Paste paper 4 as a new layer selections invert delete. Select none, move your paper layer under your frame. Now find the tube you want to use. Copy and paste as a new layer resize if needed. Position your tube how you want it then erase the parts that hang below the bottom of the frame. Erase until it looks like the bottom of your tube is inside your frame and the top of your tube is coming out of the frame. Dropshadow your tube. Then dropshadow your frame.

Copy the turkey chain from the scrapkit and paste as a new layer, position on your rectangle and then use your selection tool to select the portions that are hanging over the rectangle and delete them. Do this to all 3 rectangles and position on the rectangles then dropshadow all 3 turkey chains.

Copy your indian girl safety pin ribbon from the scrapkit and paste as a new layer. Resize by 80% smartsize. Place in the lower left hand corner of your frame. Duplicate then go to image mirror and then flip. Position in the top right corner of the frame dropshadow both.

Add any other embelishments you would like. Don't forget to dropshadow them.

Now add your proper copyrights and license number.

Set your foreground color to black and your background color #602d00 stroke 1, text size 100 and type out your text. Convert to raster and then dropshadow.

Now to animate your tag.

Click on your original mask layer and make sure its open. Close off the other 2 mask layers. Copy merge and paste into animation shop. Back in psp close your first mask layer and open your second mask layer copy merge and paste after current frame in animation shop. Back in psp close your second mask layer and open your 3rd mask layer, copy merge and paste after current frame in animation shop. Resize your animation 85% and then save as a gif.

Supplies you will need

The scrapkit I'm using is called Snow fun. It can be downloaded from KittzKreationz blogspot. Here. She has some awesome stuff on her blog do check her out.

The mask I'm using is from essexgirl and you can find it here. It's on her Chritmas mask's page and its Sg_Christmas 7 mask.

Let's start.

Open a new canvas 600x600 and flood fill white. We can crop and resize later. Add a new raster layer then go to selections select all. Open paper 6 copy and paste into selection, select none. Go to layer down to masks and apply your mask using my settings.

Delete your mask and click yes on the pop up window. Now merge group. Resize your mask 95% and dropshadow with my settings.

Open the Christmas frame from the kit resize 80% and repeat the resize. Now grab your magic wand and click inside your frame. Go to selections and modify, expand by 5. Open paper 7 copy and paste it onto your canvas. Go to selections and invert then hit delete on your keyboard. Move your paper under your frame and select none.

Open the tube you want to use and paste as a new layer under the frame layer resize your tube until it fits inside your frame look at my tag for reference. Dropshadow your tube and your frame with the settings below.

On your frame repeat the dropshadow.

Open one of the dangle charms from the kit and resize 50% then resize 80%. Place on the right side of your frame. Duplicate your charm then go to image mirror. Dropshadow both charms.

Resize all layers 80%

Add your proper copyrights and license number if needed.

Now add your text I used Santa's Big Secret font. You can find it at dafont. If you use the same font I used font at 72 stroke 1.0. I then added a gradient glow your choice of settings. Dropshadow your text. Save as a jpeg.

That's it your done

Friends Forever Tut

I used PSP X to create this tag but it should work with any version of psp. I used tubes from CCD Tube heaven. The butterflies I got from Rainbow Coffi at psp_playground. Filters you will need are Mura's Meister Cloud and Eye Candy 4000 gradient glow. My supplies are here.

I'm using the awesome artwork of Suzanne Woolcott. You must have a license to use her work you can purchase one here.

Please feel free to add any other elements or scrap pieces to your tag. Tutorials are just guides.

Let's Begin.

Place your mask in your psp mask folder. Open the rest of your supplies in psp and minimize for now.

Open a new image 600x600. Flood fill white. Add a new raster layer and flood fill with A0E5FC. Now go to Mura's Meisters Cloud.

Use my settings in the screenshot below.

Now find the grass tube i supplied and copy and paste as a new layer on your tag. Use your mover tool to move it to the bottom of your tag. Now this is where your imagination comes in. Place the trees where you think they look good resize if needed. Place your swingset and bench where you would like them to be. Resize if needed. Once you have everything where you want them close off your white background layer (Click on the little eye in your layer pallette to close the white layer). Now go up to layers and then down to merge and merge visible the rest of your layers. Open your white background again. Make sure your merged layer is highlighted in your layer pallette. Go to layers and down to Load/Save Mask, Load mask from disk. Find your mask Becky_mask003 and use my settings.

Merge your group. Now find the tubes you would like to use and place them on your tag where you think they look best resize if needed. Add a dropshadow with these settings Vertical and Horizontal both at 2, Opacity set to 80, Blur 5.00 color black. Now find the butterflies you would like to use and resize them quite small and place on your tag. Add the same dropshadow to each butterfly.

Now time to add your text. Choose a font you like and two colors from your tag and set them as your foreground and background colors. I use stroke 2.0. size 72. Add your text and then convert to raster layer and add the same dropshadow. Add the proper copyrights and license number. Don't forget your watermark if you use one.

VM Distortion Kaleidscope

DBS Flux Bright Noise

Lets Begin

Open a new canvas 600x600 transparent. Flood fill white. Open paper 2 from the scrap kit. Resize 80%. Copy and paste as a new layer. Go to Effect down to your Plugins and find VM Distortion. Use Kaleidscope. See screenshot for settings.

Now we are going to dropshadow the circle we just made. See both screen shots for dropshadow settings.

Repeat dropshadow with the settings in screenshot below.

Open pocket 2 and resize 80% repeat resize. Copy and paste as a new layer. Now rotate your pocket with these settings.

Dropshadow your pocket. Open Flower 3 resize 50%. Copy and paste as a new layer and place it so it looks like it's poking out of the pocket. Open Flower 4 resize 50%. Copy and paste as a new layer and place beside your flower 3. Dropshadow both flowers.

Open butterfly 1 resize 50%. Paste as a new layer and place where you like. Dropshadow.

Open Heart 1 resize 50%. Copy and paste as a new layer. Place at the bottom of the pocket see my tag for example. Dropshadow. Open heart 2 resize 50%. Copy and paste as a new layer. Place beside your other heart. Dropshadow. Open your music notes and resize both of them 50%. Copy and paste as new layers and place where you like them. Dropshadow. Close all your layers except for your music notes and your two heart layers. Go to Layers Merge and Merge visible. Duplicate your merged layer two times. So you have 3 layers. Now click on your original merged layer. Go to Effects DBS Flux bright noise. Use my settings.

Close off this layer and click on your next layer. Apply bright noise but click on mix two times. Close this layer. Now click on your third layer and apply bright noise but click mix three times.

Open the tube you want to use and copy paste as a new layer resize your tube if it's too big. Place where you like. Dropshadow.

Set your foreground color on black. Set your background color on #842E60. Find your font. Size 72 stroke width 1.0. Type out your text and convert to raster layer. Place where you think it looks good. Dropshadow. Add your proper copyrights and your watermark.

Time to Animate

Make sure your two copies of your merged layer are closed off. Then copy merge your tag and paste as a new animation in animation shop. Back in psp close of your original merged layer and open the second one. Copy merge your tag. Back in animation paste after current frame. Back in psp close your second layer of your merged layer and open the third layer. Copy merge your tag. Paste after current frame in animation shop. Resize your tag 80%. Click on view animation if happy with your tag save as a gif.

Font Blue Jeans 5

Lets Begin

Open a new canvas 600X600 transparent. Flood fill white. Open Paper 1 from the scrapkit. Copy and paste as a new layer. Go to Layers Load/Save Mask Mask from disk. Find your mask Vix_Mask36. Use the settings in the screenshot.

Delete your mask and click yes when prompted. Merge group. Now duplicate your mask and merge down. Open frame 1 copy and paste as a new layer. Go to your selection tool and set it on circle. Now draw out a circle that is just a little bit bigger than the middle of your frame. Go to Selections down to Edit Selection. See screenshot.

Your selection should now be a solid red circle.Use your deform tool to position your selection over the middle of the frame. Make sure your selection overlaps the frame a little bit. Go back to selections edit selections and click. You should now have marching ants again. Open paper 4 copy and paste as a new layer. Go to selections down to invert and then hit delete on your keyboard. DO NOT DESELECT. Move paper 4 under your frame. Now open the tube your going to use and paste it as a new layer. Position it in the frame when your happy with it's placement hit delete on your keyboard again. Deselect. Dropshadow your tube. See screenshot.

Now dropshadow your frame same settings. Open the pocket and resize it by 80%. Copy and paste as a new layer and place it on the bottom left of your tag. Go to Image Free Rotate and Rotate your pocket 20 degrees left. Dropshadow your pocket. Open the flower shape and resize 80% copy and paste as a new layer. Position the flower so it looks like its sticking out of the pocket. Now open the Heart shape resize 80% and position next to the flower. Dropshadow both.

Open the beads and copy and paste as a new layer. Resize them until they fit on the pocket. Use deform tool to turn them just a little see my tag for example. Dropshadow. Now duplicate the beads and move them down just a little.

Open the safety pin and resize it. Copy and paste it as a new layer place it on the right side of the frame. Dropshadow. Now use your eraser tool to erase a small part of the safety pin to make it look like it's sticking through the frame. See my tag for example.

This is what you should have so far.

On your material pallet set your background color to pattern and find paper 1 use that as your pattern. Set your foreground color to black. Go to your text tool with these settings. Stroke width 2.0, Size 72 Font Blue Jeans 5. Type out your text and place where you like. Convert your text to raster layer. Dropshadow. Add your proper copyrights and your watermark. Resize your tag and save as a JPEG.

This tag was created for a dear friend of mine named Kathy. She's a frog nut loves them.

Lets Begin

Open a new 600X600 transparent canvas. Flood fill with white. Open Coral plaid bkg. Resize see screenshot.

Resize again with screen shot settings.

Copy and paste your paper as a new layer. Dropshadow with these settings Vertical & Horizontal 2, Opacity 50, Blur 5.00, color black. Now dropshadow again but change your Vertical & Horizontal to -2. Now go to Image, Free Rotate and rotate with screenshot settings.

Open Green Plaid bkg. Resize same as you did for your previous paper. Copy and paste as a new layer. Apply the same dropshadows to this paper. Do not rotate this paper. Open Frog Coral Plaid bkg. Resize same as before. Copy and paste as a new layer. Dropshadow this paper. Go to Image Free Rotate and rotate same settings EXCEPT change direction to Right.

Open Green Plaid Frame resize 80%. Resize again same settings. Paste as a new layer. Dropshadow. Click on your magic wand tool. Click in the middle of your frame. Selections, Modify, Expand and expand 5. Open Polly bkg 4 Copy and paste as a new layer. Go to selections down to invert. Hit delete on your keyboard. DO NOT DESELECT. Open the tube your going to use. Copy and paste it as a new layer. Resize your tube if it needs it. Position inside your frame once happy with the placement hit delete on your keyboard. Move both your paper and tube layers below the frame. Dropshadow your tube. Open your Lily and resize it really small. Copy and paste as a new layer. Position it inside your frame. Dropshadow your lily. Then duplicate your lily and move it over a little. Close off all your layers except for your frame, both lily's, tube and paper 4. Go to layers, merge, and merge visible these layers. Use your deform tool to turn your frame to an angle you like. See my tag for example. Dropshadow your frame layer. Go to Effects down to Plugins and find your Xero plugin. Find Porcelain and use the default settings.

Open Coral Bow resize 50%. Copy and paste as a new layer move to the top left corner of frame. Dropshadow. Open LilyPad resize 50% 2 times. Copy and paste as a new layer and place on top of right side of frame. Dropshadow. Open LilyPadPad. Resize 15% then resize 50%. Copy and paste as a new layer. Place at bottom left frame corner. Dropshadow. Open PollyWog Resize 50% 2 times. Copy and paste as a new layer. Position on top of the lilypad. Dropshadow.

Open Green button resize 50% 2 times. Copy and paste as a new layer and position in bottom right corner of frame. Dropshadow. Open Dk Pink Heart button resize 50% 2 times. Copy and paste as new layer and position by the green button. Dropshadow. Now time to add your text. Set your Stroke color to #8AD965, Fill color to #FD9EB6. Stroke width 1, size 72. Apply your text. Now go to effect plugins and find eye candy 4000 gradient glow. Use my settings in the screenshots.

Add your correct copyrights and your watermark. Resize and save as a JPEG.

Font of choice.

Lets Begin.

Open a new canvas 600X600 transparent. Flood fill white. Open paper 9 and resize 80% smartsize. Repeat the resize. Copy paper and paste on working canvas. Dropshadow your paper. See screenshot for settings.

Repeat dropshadow same settings EXCEPT change Vertical and Horizontal offset to -2. Go to Effects down to your Plugins and find your Filters Unlimited 2.0. See screenshot for settings.

Click on apply. This gives it a lace looking border. Dropshadow with same settings as before V& H 2 and then again with -2. Open frame 1. Copy and paste as a new layer. resize by 80% smartsize. Click on your magic wand tool with your settings at Add, RGB Value, Tolerance 20, Feather 0, Anti alias checked. Now click in the middle of two of the frames I chose the top right frame and the bottom left frame. Go to Selections, down to Modify, click on Expand and expand by 3. Open paper 6, copy and paste as a new layer. Go to selections down to Invert. Make sure your paper 6 layer is highlighted in your layer pallet and then hit delete on your keyboard. Go to Selections, Select none. Move this layer below your frame layer in the layer pallet. Now click on your frame layer and make it the active layer. Click in the middle of the remaining two frames with your magic wand. Go to Selections down to Modify and expand by 3. Open paper 5 copy and paste as a new layer on your working canvas. Make sure your on paper 5 layer in your layer pallet then go to Selections Invert. Hit delete on your keyboard. Go to selections Select none. Move this layer below your frame layer.

Now we are going to add your tubes. Take your magic wand and click inside one of the frames. Expand by 3. Copy and paste your tube as a new layer. Resize your tube if it's to big. Position your tube inside the frame the way you want it when happy with placement selections invert. Hit delete on your keyboard. Move below your frame layer. Now add a dropshadow same settings before. Continue doing this until you have your tube in each frame. I also mirrored my tubes. Thats up to you.

Now hide your white background your paper 9 layer, and frame layer. Merge visible your tube layers and paper 6 & 5 layers. Unhide all your layers. Click on your frame layer to make it active and add a dropshadow. Repeat dropshadow with -2.

Open one of the doodles from the scrapkit. Copy and paste as a new layer, make sure it's just above your paper 9 layer. Dropshadow with same settings. Duplicate your doodle layer then go to Image, down to Mirror. See my tag for placement of your doodles.

You should now have this so far.

Open flower 6 and resize by 50% smartsize. Then resize 60% smartsize. Copy and Paste as a new layer. Position toward bottom left side of tag. See my tag for example. Dropshadow. Duplicate your flower layer and position like in my tag. Open flower 5 resize by 50% smartsize repeat resize. Copy and paste as a new layer and position like I have. Dropshadow.

Open one of the tags from the scrapkit. Resize 50% smartsize. Copy and paste as new layer and position it down by the flowers move this layer under the flower layers and make position the end of the tag just behind the flowers. Choose a bow from the scrapkit and open in PSP. You will want to use your Lasso tool set to point to point. Go around the bow you want. Then copy and paste as a new layer. Resize bow 50%. Go to Image Free Rotate and use my settings in the screenshot.

Dropshadow. Move your bow to the top left corner of frame see my tag for example. Duplicate your bow and move to bottom right corner of frame.

Open the butterflies. Choose the one you want to use and use the lasso tool. Copy and paste as new layer. Resize 50%. Position at top right corner of frame see my tag for example. Dropshadow.

Close off the the white background and paper 9 layers. Here is how your layers should look in your layer pallet.

Merge visible the rest of your layers. Resize your merged layer by 85%.

Time to add your text. Choose your font size 48-72 your perference. Stroke width 2.0. Set your foreground to #B0E0A5, and your background to #F7F8B6. Type out your text and convert to a raster layer. Dropshadow.

Add your correct copyrights and your watermark. Resize if you like. You are done.

7 Images by same artist.

Let's Begin.

600X600 transparent canvas. Flood fill with black. Add a new raster layer. Flood fill with color #BC7BB4. Go to layers down to Save/Load mask, then load mask from disk. Find your mask Vix_Mask99. Use these settings.

Go to your layer pallet and right click on your mask layer then delete it. Click yes when prompted. Then merge group. Open your VArtEasel and resize by 80% smart size two times. Copy your easel and paste as a new layer and move to the left side of the tag. Add dropshadow with these settings.

Go to your magic wand with settings Tolerance 20, Feather 0, Anti Alias checked, outside. Click on white canvas. Go to Selections then down to Modify, Expand.

Expand by 2. Now open 7 images from the same artist. Copy 1st image. Add a new raster layer to your working canvas. Paste 1st image into selection. DO NOT DESELECT UNTIL WE ARE FINISHED WITH ALL 7 IMAGES.

Go to your layer pallet and right click on image one layer rename it Image 1. Then click on the little eye on Image 1 to turn off the visibility.

Add a new Raster layer. Choose another image. Copy and paste into selection. Rename this layer Image 2 and turn off the visibility. Add a new Raster layer. Choose another image, copy and paste into selection. Rename Image 3 and turn off the visibility of that layer. Add a new Raster layer. Choose another image. Copy and paste into selection. Rename Image 4 turn off visibility. Add new Raster layer. Choose another image copy and paste into selection. Rename Image 5 turn off visibility. Add a new Raster layer. Choose another image. Copy and paste into selection. Rename Image 6 and turn off the visibility. Add a new Raster layer. Choose your final image. Copy and paste into selection. Rename Image 7. Go to Selections down to select none. Add your butterfly or any accents you want to your tag. Choose a font or use mine. Set your size to 72, stroke width 2. Stroke color White. Fill color #BC7BB4. Type out your text and position where you think it looks best. Add correct copyrights and your watermark. Now make sure all your Image layers have the eye Xed out . Highlight your bottom layer which should be your black layer. Go to Layer, Merge, Merge Visible.

Starting at the top of your layer pallet it should be Image 7, Image 6, Image 5, Image 4, Image 3, Image 2, Image 1 and then your merged layer.

Time to Animate

Open animation shop. Back in PSP Click on the eye on Image 1. Copy Image 1.

Paste as a new animation in Animation shop. Back in PSP click on the eye on Image 1. Then Highlight Image 2 click on the eye to show image 2. Copy image 2 and go back to animation shop. Paste after current frame. Back to PSP. Close Image 2 and highlight Image 3 click on eye to open the visibility. Copy then back to animation shop and paste after current frame. Back in PSP turn off visibility of Image 3. Highlight Image 4 turn back on the visibility. Copy then in animation shop paste after current frame. Back in PSP repeat previous actions for Image 5, 6 & 7. Once you have pasted Image 7 after your current frame you should have 7 frames in animation shop. Click on your first frame in animation shop to highlight it. Then right click and copy. Then highlight frame 7 and paste image 1 after current frame. Go back to frame 1 and highlight it again. Go to effects, Insert Image Transition.

Use my settings here.

Click ok. Go to your next frame which should be frame 4. Highlight frame 4 then insert transition same settings. Next frame should be frame 7 highlight and insert transition. Next frame should be 9 highlight and insert transition. Go to next frame should be 10 highlight and insert transition. Go to next frame should be 13 highlight and insert transition. Go to next frame should be 16 highlight and insert transition. Go to next frame should be 19 highlight and insert transition. Go to next frame should be 22 highlight. Then right click on frame 22 and then delete it. You should now have 21 frames. Go back to frame 1 and highlight frame 1. Go to Edit down to Select All. Back to PSP. Click on the visibility of your merged layer and highlight that layer. Copy and paste as a new animation in animation shop. Now we need 20 more frames so hold down your CRTL, SHIFT keys at the same time. While holding those down press your L key on your keyboard. Keep doing this until you have 21 frames. Go back to frame 1 and highlight. Go to Edit down to Select All. Go to your first animation which is the image animation. Go to Edit copy. Then click on your main tag. Go to Edit, paste into selected frame.

Line your image up with the art canvas when happy with placement left click your mouse. Now go to Animation frame properties.

Set your frame properties with my settings.

Resize your animation by 80% smart size. View animation if happy save as a gif.

Lets begin by opening a transparent canvas 600X600. Food fill with Black. Add a new raster layer, set your foreground to gradient red-orang-yellow with these settings.

Flood fill new raster with gradient. Go to your layers down to Load/Save Mask, load mask from disk and find mask Chat%2D12 load with these settings.

Delete your mask and click yes when prompted. Then merge group. Open the tube and copy and paste on your working canvas as a new layer. Resize by 80% and move toward the bottom of your canvas. Dropshadow with these settings.

Open the dream catcher tube copy and paste as a new layer. Move to the top left corner of your working canvas. Dropshadow with these settings.

Now go to your layer pallet and right click on your dream catcher layer and duplicate. Then go to image then down to mirror. Close off all layers except for your two dream catcher layers. Merge these two layers together.

Click on your text tool, set your background to your gradient. Font size 72. Type out your text. Convert to raster layer. Dropshadow with same settings as last time. Add your proper copyright and your watermark.

Time To Animate:

Highlight your dream catcher layer. Go to Effects then down to plugins, find your Xenofex 2 plugin. Click on constellation. Use these settings.

Open Animation shop. Copy merge your tag and paste as a new animation. Back in PSP click edit then undo constellation. Repeat constellation but click random seed once. Copy merge tag. Back in animation shop paste after current frame. Back in PSP go to edit and undo constellation. Repeat constellation but click random seed once. Copy merge tag. Back in animation shop paste after current frame. You should now have 3 frames in animation shop. Resize your tag by 80%. Click view animation if happy save as gif.

Filter Xenofex 2 Constellation

Supplies

Lets start.

Open a new canvas 600 x 600 transparent. Flood fill with white. Don't worry we will resize later. Add a new raster layer and flood fill with #C5EAEC. Apply your mask with these settings.

Merge group. Open your white lace and copy and paste as a new layer on your working canvas. Drop shadow with these settings.

Open your pink lace and copy and paste as a new layer on your work canvas. Repeat the drop shadow. Open the hanging hearts and choose one copy and paste as a new layer on your work canvas. Go to adjust hue and saturation colorize use these settings.

Then go to adjust Brightness/Contrast with these settings.

Set your foreground color to #FEE0EC, choose your change to target brush and colorize your heart pink. Drop shadow these settings.

Open your bows and choose the aqua bow copy and paste as a new layer on your work canvas. Move to top of hanging heart look at my tag for example. Colorize with #C5EAEC. Repeat dropshadow you used on the heart. This will be the dropshawdow you will use throughout the rest of the tutorial. Set your background color to black then click on your text tool choose cursive-elegant size 24. Type out a saying or use mine "Best Friends Forever". Convert to raster layer, dropshadow. Change your blend mode on this layer to Burn. Copy and paste your tube as a new layer resize 80%. Move to the left side of your tag look at my tag for example. Dropshadow. Open your butterflies, choose the blue butterfly copy and paste as a new layer move to the top of your tag look at my tag for example. Dropshadow and then duplicate your butterfly. Move to the right of your heart. Go back to your butterflies and choose the mauve butterfly. Copy and paste as a new layer move just below and to the side of your top blue butterfly. Look at my tag for example. Dropshadow your butterfly. Duplicate and move you butterfly toward the bottom of your tag. You want your butterflies to form a half circle around you tag. Close off all layers except for your butterfly layers. Merge visible and rename butterflies. Open all your layers again. Duplicate your butterfly layer 2 times. Click on your original butterfly layer. Go to effects and choose your Xenofex 2 Constellation with these settings.

Click ok. Close off that layer and highlight your second butterfly layer. Apply constellation and hit random seed once. Close off that layer and highlight your third butterfly layer. Apply constellation and hit random seed once. Set your foreground color to Black and your background color to #BE97C5. Choose your text tool cursive-elegant size 72 stroke 1. Type out your name. Convert to raster layer and apply dropshadow. Apply your proper copyrights and watermark.

TIME TO ANIMATE

Make sure your first butterfly layer is open. Hide butterfly layers 2 and 3. Copy merged your tag and paste as a new animation in animation shop. Back in PSP hide butterfly layer 1 and open butterfly layer 2 copy merged and paste after current frame in animation shop. Back in PSP hide butterfly layer 2 and unhide butterfly layer 3. Copy merged and paste after current frame in animation shop. Resize your animation by 85%. View animation and if happy save as gif.

DSB Flux Bright Noise

Animation Shop

My Supplies HERE

Lets begin

Put your mask in your masks folder in PSP. Open your font and minimize.

Open a new canvas 600X600 transparent. Flood fill with white. Add a new raster layer. Flood fill this layer with #638BD2 or a color from the tube your using.Go to Layers, down to Load/Save mask, Load mask from disk. Find your mask_teresa. Use my settings.

Click ok. Over on your layer pallet right click on your mask layer and then delete. Click yes when prompted. Then merge group. Copy your tube and paste as a new layer above your mask layer. Duplicate your tube. Close the copy of your tube. Click on your original tube layer. Resize your original tube by 110%. Now go to Adjust down to Blur, Gaussian blur. Radius set to 20.00. See screenshot.

Still on your original tube layer go to Effect, down to Distortion Effects and click on twirl. Set degrees to 720. See screenshot.

Repeat the twirl with the same settings. Now duplicate your twirl layer two times so you have a total of three twirl layers. Rename the Twirl 1, Twirl 2, Twirl 3. Close off your twirl layers 2 and 3. Click on twirl layer 1 to make it the active layer. Go to Effects down to Plugins and find your plugin DSB Flux Bright Noise. Make sure Mix is checked and set intensity to 30. See screenshot.

Click ok. Close your twirl 1 layer and then click on twirl 2 layer and unhide it. Go back to DSB Flux bright noise and use same settings except for click on mix two times. Close off twirl 2 layer and click on twirl 3 layer and unhide. Go back to DSB Flux bright noise and use same settings except for click on mix three times. Now unhide your copy of your tube. It should be the top layer in your layer pallet. Add a dropshadow to your tube. See screenshot.

Time to add your text. Set your foreground color to #A0181F or a color from the tube your using. Set your background color to #638BD2 or choose another color from the tube your using. Click on your text tool and find your font, Size 72, stroke width 1.0. Type out your text and position where you think it looks best. Convert your text to raster layer. Now go to Effect, down to your plugins and find Eye Candy 4000 Gradient Glow. Use settings in screenshot.

Under the color tab click medium and use your foreground color. See screenshot.

Click Ok. Add your proper copyrights and your watermark.

Time to Animate.

Make sure your twirl layers 2 and 3 or hidden. Twirl 1 layer should be showing. Copy merge and open animation shop paste in animation shop as a new animation. Back in PSP hide twirl 1 layer. Unhide twirl 2 layer. Copy merge and paste after current frame in animation shop. Back in PSP hide twirl 2 layer and unhide twirl 3 layer. Copy merge and paste after current frame in animation shop.

View your animation and if you like resize and save as a gif.

New Tutorial My Quiet Place

I wrote this tutorial on June 8th 2009. If it resembles any other tutorial out there it's purely coincident. I used PSP X to create this tag but you should be able to use any version.

Supplies you will need:

Tubes of your choice. I used the fantastic artwork of Suzanne Woolcott. You must have a license to use her artwork. You can purchase on here.

The scrap kit I'm using a beautiful FTU kit by Designs by Ali. Beautiful kit hun. You can download it from her blog here.

An image of choice.

Mask of choice

Lets begin:

Open a new image 600x600. We can crop and resize later.

Choose a paper from the kit and open it on your workspace. Minimize it and then click on your materials pallet and go to pattern and find the paper you opened. Set the angle to 0 and your scale to 25. Add a new raster and flood fill with your paper.

Find the mask you want to use and apply. Merge your group.

Choose a window from the kit and resize and paste as a new layer. Move it up toward the top of your mask layer. Grab your freehand selection tool set at point to point and go around the window frame. Resize the image you want to use and paste as a new layer. Move below the window frame and go to selections invert. Hit delete on your keyboard. Dropshadow your window with shadow of choice.

Open on of the drapes from the kit and resize paste as a new layer. Position around your window. When happy with position dropshadow drapes.

Open a mirror from kit. Resize and paste as a new layer. Position where you like and then dropshadow.

To make the picture I have in my tag I opened one of the frames and clicked in the center then went to selections and modify expand by 5. Open another paper from you kit and paste as a new layer move below the frame. Go to selections invert and delete the excess paper. Don't deselect open one of the tubes you want to use and paste as a new layer move below frame. Hit delete to remove excess tube. Dropshadow your tube. Now merge visible. Resize and paste as a new layer on your tag. Position where you like and then dropshadow.

Open a chair from the kit and resize. Paste as a new layer and position where you like. Dropshadow.

Open the nesting boxes. Resize and paste as new layer position where you like. Dropshadow.

Paste your tube and position where you think she looks best and dropshadow her. If you need to resize the tube make sure you use smartsize.

Resize your tag and add your copyright license number if needed.

Find a font you like and apply your text. Dropshadow.

Save as a Jpeg or Png and thats it your done. I hope you have enjoyed this tutorial.

Looking For Trouble Tutorial

I created this tutorial on April 21, 2009. I created this tag from my own imagination if it resembles any other tutorial it's purely coincidental. I used PSP X to create this tag but it should be able to be done in any version.

Supplies:

Tube of choice. I'm using the awesome artwork of Keith Garvey. You must have a license to use his work. You can purchase this tube here.

Template I'm using is from Cinnamon Scraps. A very talented lady. I'm using template #8. Please do leave her love if you visit her blog. You can find the template here.

Scrap Kit I'm using is a beautiful FTU scrap kit from Dreamland Designs. Do check out her awesome blog. If you download her items do leave her some love. Scrap Kit can be found here.

Font of choice.

Eye Candy 4000 for gradient glow (optional).

Let's get started.

Open the template in psp. Delete the copyright layer. Highlight raster 2 of the template. Go to selections select all float, defloat. Add a new raster and paste a paper of choice into the selection. Select none. Delete the template layer. Add a dropshadow of choice.

Highlight raster 3 select all, float, defloat. Paste a paper of choice invert and hit delete. Delete the template layer. Add drop shadow.

Repeat the above steps for the rest of the template layers. Make sure you add a dropshadow to all template layers.

On the layer with the word TROUBLE once you add your paper and delete the excess don't deselect. Expand the selection by 2. Add a new layer and flood fill with white. Move the white layer below the paper layer. Delete the template layer. Dropshadow the white flood filled layer.

Paste a tube of your choice into the square frame and delete the excess. If using the same tube I used resize 150% smart size and then sharpen. Change the blend mode of the tube to Luminence (L). Dropshadow of choice.

Add elements of choice and make sure to dropshadow each element.

Add your tube and place where you like. Dropshadow.

Add your copyright and license number if needed.

Add your text and dropshadow. Now resize your tag and save as a JPEG.

Color Me Crazy Tutorial FTU

I created this tutorial on April 19, 2009. Any resemblance to another tutorial is completely coincidental. I created this tag using Paint Shop Pro X.

Scrap kit is a beautiful FTU kit called Color Me Crazy and you can find it at Simply Devilish Scrapz. Here.

I'm using a template from Scrapity Scrap Tutorials here.

Font of Choice.

Let's get started:

Open your template in psp, delete the copyright layer. Go to image canvas size and resize your canvas to 650x650.

Highlight the top thin slats layer then go to select all, float, defloat. Open paper 12 from the kit and paste as a new layer. Selections, invert hit delete on your keyboard. Delete your grey template layer. Repeat for the bottom thin slats. Dropshadow of you choice.

Highlight your circle layer, select all, float, defloat. Open paper Paper 4 paste as a new layer. Selections invert hit delete. Delete the grey template layer. I colored all the white frames black but that is up to you.

Highlight middle square selections, float, defloat. Open paper 21 paste as a new layer selections invert delete. Delete the template layer. Repeat for the other 2 squares, I used papers 23 for the bottom square and paper 22 for the top square. Make sure you dropshadow all template layers.

Open from the kit Corner 1 paste as a new layer on your tag resize 80% smart size. Position in the top right corner of your tag and send to the bottom. Duplicate your corner and then go to image and then mirror. Dropshadow of choice.

Open your tube of choice and paste as a new layer. Move your tube so that is the layer just above your pink circle layer. Now duplicate your tube and move the copy above your circle frame. Now highlight your circle frame layer. Grab your magic wand and click in the center of your frame and then go to selections modify and expand 5. Now click on your original tube layer which is the one under the circle frame. Go to selections invert and hit delete on your keyboard. This will remove all the excess tube. Selections none now click on your copy of your tube and erase the bottom of the tube thats hanging over the circle frame. This is the easiest way I've found to make your tube look like it's inside the frame but also coming out of the frame. Dropshadow your original tube.

Now add any other embillishments from the kit to your tag. Make sure you dropshadow each embillishment.

Crop and resize your tag.

Add your copyright and license number along with your text.

Save as a JPEG and you are done. Hope you liked my tutorial.

Spring Fairy Tutorial FTU

I created this tutorial on 2/15/09. This tutorial is my own creation and if it resembles any other tutorial it's purely coincidental. I created this tutorial in PSP X but it should be able to be done in any version.

Supplies you will need:

Scrap kit of choice. I used the beautiful work of Doris at Scraps Dimensions and it's a freebie.

A tube of choice. I'm using the awesome work of Rion Vernon's Pinuptoons. You have to have a license to use his artwork. You can purchase his works at CILM. Please don't use this tube unless you have a license to do so.

Mask of choice or the one I used which is Vix_mask_valentine13. Which you can download from her site here. You will find her masks listed under the tab goodies.

Font of choice. I used Candombe which is a ptu font so I can't supply it.

Let's Begin:

Open a new canvas 600x600. Flood fill white. We can resize and crop later.

Copy and paste a paper of choice onto your canvas I used paper 7. Then go to layers, Load/save mask and find your mask. Use my settings: Source Luminance, Fit to canvas, Hide all mask. Click ok. Then merge your mask group.

Open a paper of choice I used paper 9 minimize it on your workspace. Set your foreground color to pattern and find your paper 9 in your patterns. Set your background to null. Then click on your preset shapes and set it to Ellipse. Set your width to 10 and draw out a circle on your canvas. Size is up to you. Go to Objects, Align, Center in canvas. Once happy with your circle convert to raster layer.

Grab your magic wand and click in the center of your circle and go to Selections, Modify, Expand by 5. Add a new raster layer and flood fill with a color of choice. I used #CCD5DE. Then go to Effects, Plugins, and find Mura Meister Clouds. I used the default settings. Click ok. Move that layer below your frame layer. Keep selected.

Open your pond and copy and paste as a new layer. Resize until it fits inside your frame the way you like it. Go to Selections, Invert, then hit delete on your keyboard. Select none. I resized mine 80% smartsize. I then added some daffidil tube behind the pond. Once happy with the scene inside your frame dropshadow the pond, daffidils, and the frame. I used H/V: 1 Opacity:50 Blur:5.00 color black.

Open Decor 2 resize 80% smartsize. Paste as a new layer and move to just above your mask layer. Duplicate and mirror your decor. Merge together your two decor. layers. Duplicate and then flip. Add the same dropshadow to both layers.

Open your tube of choice and paste as a new layer. Position where you think looks best. Dropshadow your tube.

Now resize your tag. I resized mine 85% smartsize. Sharpen all you layers. Add your copyright and license number if needed.

Apply your text. Convert to raster layer. Dropshadow. Save your tag as a Jpeg and thats it your done.

Dream Lover Tutorial FTU

I created this tutorial on Jan. 13, 2009. This tutorial is my own design if it resembles any other tutorial out there its purely coincedental.

Supplies:

Template # 129 from Missy at divine intentionz. You can download it here.

Scrap kit is called Purple dreams and you can download this beautiful scrap kit at Dezigns by Ali. Do check out her blog she has some beautiful stuff there. Download here.

The tube I'm using is the beautiful artwork of Jose A. Cano. You must have a license to use his artwork. You can buy his artwork and license here.

Mask & font in my supplies. Here.

Let's Begin:

Place your mask in your psp mask folder.

Open template 129 shift D to duplicate. Close the original template. Delete the copyright layer. Make your white background layer the active layer then go to image canvas size and resize your canvas to 600x600. Flood fill your white background with white so it's all white.

Click on your big square layer go to selections select all, float, defloat. Open paper 6 copy and paste as a new layer. Go to selections invert then hit delete on your keyboard. Delete the original square layer.

Click on circle one layer and go to selections select all, float defloat. Open paper 5 and paste as a new layer. Go to selections invert then hit delete on your keyboard. Delete the original circle layer. Repeat the above steps for circle 2.

Now click on your rectangle layer go to selections select all, float defloat. Open paper 4 and paste as a new layer. Go to selections invert. Hit delete on your keyboard. Now delete your original rectangle layer.

Click on your dotted line layer go to selections, select all, float defloat. Add a new raster layer. Change your foreground color to black and flood fill your dotted lines with black. Delete the original dotted line layer.

Click on the dream lover words layers. Now click on your magic wand and click on each letter of the word dream now go to selections modify and expand by 1. Now paste paper 8 as a new layer go to selections invert delete. Repeat the above steps for the word lover but paste paper 7.

Now dropshadow all the layers of your template. I used V & H 0, opacity 70 blur 7.00 and color black.

Now we are going to do the mask so go to the white background layer and paste paper 5 as a new layer. Now go to layers down to save/load mask and find the mask I provided. Use my settings:
Source Luminance, Fit to canvas, invert data checked, show all mask. Hit ok and merge group. Now move your mask down just a little bit so it's not showing so much at the top. See my tag as reference.

Now click on your top layer which should be one of the words. Open the tube you want to use and paste as a new layer resize if needed. Position it so it looks like it's coming out of the center rectangle. Dropshadow your tube with the same settings.

Now open two of the roses from the scrap kit and resize by 50% smartsize. Paste as a new layers and rotate 90 left. position so it looks like your tube has her hand on the roses. On the second rose flip. Dropshadow with same settings.

Open a butterfly from the kit and resize by 50% 2 times. then paste as a new layer and rotate 25 degrees to the left and position to the top of the top circle. Duplicate your butterfly mirror and flip. Dropshadow with same settings.

Resize your tag. Add your proper copyrights license number. Don't forget your taggers mark.

Now add your text. Dropshadow and save as a Jpeg.

Be a Friend Tutorial FTU

Tube of choice. I'm using the beautiful artwork of Suzanne Woolcott which you must have a license to use. You can buy her artwork and a license here.

The scrap kit I'm using a ftu kit called Present from ScrappingMar's blogspot. You can download the kit Here. Please do check out her blog she has some great things on there.

Tag template #75 from Missy at divine intentionz. You can download it Here. Please check out her blog she has awesome stuff on there.

My supplies here.

Let's begin:

Place the brush from my supplies into your brushes folder in psp.

Open template 75 in psp and then hold shift + D to duplicate the template. Close the original template. Delete the copyright layer on the template. Now go to the bottom rectangle click on it in your layer palette. Go to selections select all, back to selections float, then defloat. Open paper of choice, I used paper 12. Copy and paste as a new layer. Go to selections invert then hit delete on your keyboard. Delete the original rectangle. Repeat these steps for the rest of the template layers. Add a dropshadow of choice to all template layers.

Now click on your Background Frame layer and paste the tube you are using. Resize your tube if needed. Then erase any part of your tube that is sticking out from under the frame. Add a dropshadow of choice to your tube.

Open a butterfly of choice from the kit and resize it until it fits nicely inside your frame place where you think it looks best. Duplicate your butterfly and then mirror. Dropshadow both butterflies.

Click on scalloped shape layer and then add a new layer. I used color #dfc66c. Now find the brush I supplied. Size should be changed to 300 now stamp your brush once in the center of the scalloped shape. Dropshadow your brush.

Open up one of the flower pots from the scrapkit and resize. Paste as a new layer and postion at the beginning of your saying. See my tag for reference. Duplicate the flower pot and mirror it. Add dropshadow of choice to both flower pots.

Open one of the Beaded rope friend tag and resize place it in the top right corner of your template. See my tag for reference. Dropshadow.

Add any other embellishments you would like.

Add your proper copyrights and license number.

Set your foreground and background colors to #DFC66C and find the font I supplied size 65 stroke 1. Type out your text and convert to raster layer. Dropshadow your text.

Save your tag as Jpeg and thats it your done.

Christmas Dreams Tutorial

I wrote this tutorial December 2008, if it resembles any other tutorial it's purely by coincident. I wrote this tutorial using Psp X but it should be able to be done in all versions.

Supplies:

Tube of your choice: I'm using the beautiful artwork of Suzanne Woolcott. You must have a license to use her artwork. You can purchase one here.

The scrapkit I'm using is by the talented Bel Vidotti called Soft Holiday. You can find this beautiful scrap kit here.

You will also need Xenofex 2 filter constellation.

Font of your choice.

Let's Begin:

Open a new canvas 600x600 flood fill white.

Open She61 from the scrap kit. Copy and paste as a new layer. Click in the middle of your frame with your magic wand. Go to selections Modify and expand 5. Copy and paste a paper of your choice. Selections invert then hit delete on your keyboard. Don't deselect. Now copy and paste the tube of your choice and position in the center of your frame once happy with the position hit delete on your keyboard. Select none.

Open She11 from the kit. Resize 50% paste as a new layer and move to the bottom of your frame. Then click on your frame layer in the layer pallet. Grab your magic wand and click outside of your frame. You should have marching ants around the outside part of the frame. Now click on your bow layer in the layer pallet and then grab your eraser and erase all the parts of the bow hanging over the sides of your frame. Now your bow should look like it's attached to the frame. Dropshadow your tube, frame and bow layers with dropshadow of choice.

Now open She46 from the scrap kit. Resize 80% and paste as a new layer on your canvas. Move it to the left side of the frame. Duplicate and then mirror. Dropshadow both vines.

Open She59 from the kit. Copy and paste as a new layer. Move this layer to just above the white background. Now move the doodle to the right side so you can see it on the side of the frame. Duplicate and mirror. Merge down your two doodles so they are one layer. Dropshadow them.

Now resize all your layers by 85%. Apply your copyright.

Now click on your doodle layer and duplicate it 2 times for a total of 3 doodles. close off the 2 copies and click on the original doodle layer. Go to effects, xenofex constellation and use these settings:

Star Size 2.54

Size Variation 13

Edge Star Density 40

Overall Star Density 0

Overdrive 100

Twinkle amount 75

Twinkle Rotation 45

Background fill Keep original image.

Random Seed 1

Click ok then hide the original doodle layer. Open up your second doodle layer apply constellation to it but hit random seed once.

Close off your second doodle layer and open your 3rd doodle layer apply constellation to it but hit random seed again.

Now type out your text.

Time to animate:

Open animation shop. Close off your 3rd doodle layer and open your original doodle layer copy merge and paste as new animation in animation shop.

Back in psp close off your original doodle and open your 2nd doodle layer copy merged and paste after current frame in animation shop.

Back in psp close off your 2nd doodle and open your 3rd doodle layer copy merged and paste after current frame in animation shop.

View your animation and if your happy with it save as a gif. Thats it your done.

Tru Blu Gal Tutorial

Tube or choice. I'm using the fantastic artwork of Keith Garvey and you must own a license to use his artwork. You can purchase his artwork and license here.

The Scrapkit I'm using is a FTU scrapkit from Misfitscrapz called True Blue. You can download it from their blog here.

The template is template #50 by Yvette. You can find the template at her blog here. Be sure to check out the rest of her blog she has some awesome templates and such on her blog.

The mask I'm using is from Zuzzanna and you can download it here. Then find mask 15.

Font of choice.

Let's Begin:

Open your template 50 in psp and then hold down shift and D to duplicate. Close your original template. Delete the copyright off your template. Now go to image and down to resize canvas and resize your canvas to 600x600. Now add a new raster layer just above your white background. Select all and then open paper 6 copy and paste into selection. Select none. Go to layers down to load/save mask and load mask from disk. Find your mask zuzzanna_mask15 and apply it using my settings: Source luminance, fit to canvas, Hide all mask, invert transparency. Hit load. Then merge your mask group. Resize your mask 90% smartsize.

Click on circle 1 select all, float, defloat, modify down to smooth and 10 on both. Open paper 13 copy paste as a new layer. Invert and hit delete on your keyboard. Delete your template circle. We will do the same thing for the rest of the template layers. Open paper 11 paste as a new layer and the invert delete. Delete your circle 2 template. Click on template circle 3 do all the above steps. Open paper 12 paste as new layer invert delete. Delete circle 3 template. Click on rectangle 4 do the above steps. Open paper 1 copy paste as a new layer invert delete. Delete your template 4 rectangle. Click on rectangle 5 open paper 2 copy paste invert delete. Delete rectangle 5 template. Click on rectangle 6 do above steps. Open paper 8 copy paste as new layer invert delete. Delete rectangle 6 template. Dropshadow all template layers with your choice of settings.

Set your foreground color to pattern and then find paper 6. Background to null. Click on your preset shape ellipse. We are going to make a frame around our light blue circle. Set your width to 8 and make sure your line style is solid line. draw out a circle large enough to go around your light blue circle. Use your nodes around your frame to pull it out until it covers the edges of your blue circle. Once you have it the right size click on it and convert it to a raster layer.

Now open the tube you want to use and copy and paste as a new layer on your tag. Position your tube over your lower right rectangle. Once you have her position the way you like then go to your rectangle layer click on it to make it the active layer. Go to selections select all, float defloat, invert. Then click on your tube layer and hit delete on your keyboard. All that should be left is the part you want showing on the rectangle. On your tube layer change your blend mode to Luminance (L). Repeat these steps for the rectangle in the upper right. I mirrored my tube on that rectangle. I changed the blend mode on her to luminance (L) also. Now paste your tube as a new layer one more time. Move her so that she is position over the light blue circle. Make sure this tube is the top layer. Now duplicate her and move the original tube layer under the frame you made around the blue circle. Now click on your eraser tool and erase the bottom of your original tube that is sticking out from your frame. You will want to close your duplicate tube layer so you can see what you are doing. Once your done with erasing the bottom of your tube open your duplicate tube. Erase all the bottom until she looks like she's coming out of the frame. Dropshadow your bottom tube.

Now add any emblishements you like from the scrapkit and make sure you dropshadow them also.

Resize your tag. Add your proper copyrights and license number.

Add your text and dropshadow it also.

Save as a Jpeg and your done.

Christmas Wish Tutorial FTU

I created this tutorial on November 26th 2008. I created this using PSP X but it should be able to be done in any version. If this tutorial resembles another it's purely coincidental. The idea for this tutorial is my own design and the copyright of the tutorial belongs to me. What you create with this tutorial is yours to do with as you please just not for monetary gain.

Supplies:

Tube of your choice. I'm using the gorgeous artwork of Ismael Rac and you must own a license to use his artwork. You can purchase a license and his artwork at MPT.

Scrap kit of choice or the one I used called Spirit of Christmas. You can download it at Whisprddreamz Designz.

Mask is from essex girl and can be downloaded here. It's under her page of Christmas masks, and it's called sg_braided-star.

My supplies here.

Let's Begin:

Open a new canvas 600x600 and flood fill white. We will crop and resize later.

Open paper 5 from the kit and paste as a new layer on your canvas. go to layers and down to load/save mask load mask from disk. Find your mask sg_braided-star and apply it with these settings: Source luminance, fit to canvas, hide all mask, invert transparency checked. Now merge your mask group.

Open the frame template that I supplied in my supplies. Copy and paste as a new layer. Go up to selections select all, float, defloat. Open paper 6. Copy and paste as a new layer, go to selections invert and then hit delete on your keyboard. Now you can delete my frame template layer.

Select your magic wand and click inside of your frame center. Go to selections modify and expand 5. Open paper 4 paste as a new layer. Selections invert delete on keyboard. Do not deselect. Move your paper 4 layer under your frame.

Open the stars from the kit. Resize them 80% paste as a new layer and position them under the frame so it looks like they are coming from the top of the frame. Once happy with the position hit delete on your keyboard. Do not deselect.

Open the tube your planning on using. If your using the same tube I'm using then make sure you turn her opacity back up to 100%. Position her in the frame the way you want and then hit delete on your keyboard. If your tube is above your frame move her below it. Now open ribbon 2 position it at the bottom of your frame but above your tube. Hit delete on your keyboard. Select none. Dropshadow your tube, the stars, ribbon and your frame with your choice of dropshadow.

Open xmas corner. Resize 50%. Paste as a new layer and position in the top left part of your frame. Add a dropshadow of choice.

Resize your tag at this point. I resized mine by 85%.

Add your copyright and license number.

Set your foreground color to #d42e4d, and your background color to #f2a0a4. If using the same font that I supplied then use these settings stroke 2 size 48 and type out your text. Convert to a raster layer. Dropshadow your text. Save your tag as a Jpeg.

Christmas Angel Tutorial FTU

I created this tutorial on November 20th, 2008. If this tutorial resembles another tutorial it's purely by coincident. I created this tag in PSPX but it should be able to be done in any version. You will need Eyecandy 5 Nature to do the flames on the candles.

Supplies:

Tube of your choice I'm using the beautiful artwork of Barbara Jensen. You must own a license to use her art. You can visit Barbara at her site here and purchase her artwork and a license.

The scrapkit I'm using is called Winter Wonders. You can find this beautiful scrap kit at Annies 4 corners. You will find her here.

The mask I'm using is from essexgirl and you can download it from here. Go to masks and it's on page 26. The mask is called sg_Christmas13.

Font of your choice.

Let's Begin:

Open a new canvas 600x600 flood fill white. We will resize later.

Add a new raster layer go to selections and select all. Open paper 4. Copy and paste into selection. Select none. Go up to layers down to load/save mask, load mask from disk. Find mask sg_Christmas13. Use my settings: Source luminance, fit to canvas, hide all mask, invert transparency unchecked. Merge group. Add this dropshadow to the mask layer. 1,1 56, 5.00 black.

Open frame 2 resize your frame to 500 pixels. Paste as a new layer and then resize 90% smartsize.

Grab the magic wand and click inside the frame go to selections modify, expand 5. Open paper 7. Add a new raster layer on your canvas. Paste paper 7 into selection. Don't deselect.

Open the tube your going to use. Paste as a new layer and position in the frame go up to selections down to invert. Hit delete on your keyboard. This will remove any of your tube hanging over the frame. Move your tube and paper 7 layers under your frame. Dropshadow your tube and frame with the previous settings.

Open candle 2 resize 10% smartsize. Paste as a new layer and position in the left bottom corner of your frame. Duplicate and go to image mirror. Dropshadow both candle's.

Open candle 3 resize 10%. Paste as a new layer then resize 80%.position it next to the first candle in the left bottom corner. Duplicate and mirror. Dropshadow both candles.

Open candle resize 10%. Paste as a new layer then resize 80%. Position to the left of the first candle. Duplicate, mirror and then dropshadow both candles.

Close off all your layers except for the candle layers. Go to layers down to merge and merge visible. Open all your layers back up.

Open Curly Ribbon 5. Resize 10%. Paste as a new layer and then use your deformation tool to turn it until it's barely tilted. Duplicate your ribbon and mirror it. Position them together and then dropshadow both. Merge the ribbons together then duplicate and mirror. Position them in the top corners of your frame.

Open Flower 6 resize 5% and paste onto your tag. Position on top of your curly ribbon. Duplicate and mirror position over the other set of curly ribbons. Dropshadow both flowers.

Add your proper copyrights and license number if needed.

Add your text. I used my foreground color set to #5cbca4, and my background set to #8ac4b5. Convert your text to raster layer and dropshadow.

Now to animate:

Click on your merged candle layer. Your going have to zoom in a little bit to see what your doing. Select your freehand selection tool. Set to add, point to point, feather 0, smoothing 0. Now draw around each of the wicks on your candle's. I drew little boxes around them. Once your done doing that duplicate your candle layer 2 times so you have a total of 3 candle layers. Close off the 2 duplicates and click on your original candle layer.

Go to effects, plugins and find your eyecandy 5 nature plugin in click on fire. Use my settings.

Go to settings and choose Large, candle

Then use these settings below:

Fire direction 90

Column length 21.74

Flame width 83

Expansion -8

Waver 0

Turbulence 25

Flame intensity 100

Soften edges 20

Start from bottom checked.

Click ok

Close off the first candle layer and open the candle layer above it and make sure it's highlighted. Click on fire again and hit random seed one time.

Close off your second candle layer and open the 3rd layer which is above candle 2. Make sure it's highlighted and then click on fire hit random seed one time.

Close off your third candle layer and open candle layer 1 again. Copy merged and paste as a new layer in animation shop.

Back in psp close off candle layer 1 and open candle layer 2 copy merged, in animation shop paste after current frame.

Back in psp close off candle layer 2 and open candle layer 3 copy merged, in animation shop paste after current frame.

Resize your animation 85% then view your animation. If you like the result then save as a gif. That's it your done.

Waiting for Santa Tutorial

Open the frame from my supplies and paste as a new layer. Go to selections select all, down to float, then defloat. Open paper 7 and minimize on your workspace. Change your foreground color to pattern and find paper 7. Flood fill your frame with paper 7. Select none.

Grab your magic wand and click in the middle of your frame. Go to selections, modify, expand and expand 5. Open paper 3 paste as a new layer on your canvas. Selections, invert then hit delete on your keyboard. Select none and move paper 3 below your frame layer.

Open snowflake 2 resize 90% smartsize. Paste as a new layer and make sure it's under your frame layer. Open the tube you want to use and paste as a new layer inside your frame. Resize your tube if needed. Dropshadow your tube and frame with my settings: 1,1 50, 5.00 black.

Open candy 3 resize 25% smartsize. Position in the top right corner inside the frame. Duplicate candy and then go to image mirror. Use your deformation tool to rotate the candies until they form a heart. Merge the candies together and then sharpen, dropshadow.

Open stocking 1 resize 30%. Paste as a new layer inside the frame and move to the top left corner. Sharpen and dropshadow.

Open tree 2 resize 50%. Paste as a new layer and position in the lower right corner of your frame see my tag for reference. Duplicate your tree then go to image and mirror. Dropshadow both trees.

Open bow 4 resize 50%. Paste as a new layer and position in the top left corner of your frame. Duplicate your bow and then go to image and mirror. Dropshadow both bows.

Resize your tag.

Add your proper copyright and your license if needed.

Set your foreground to #ca2a84, set your background to pattern and use paper 3 for your pattern. I supplied the font I used and I set my size to 90, stroke 2. Type out your text convert to a raster layer. Dropshadow your text. Save your tag as a Jpeg.

Supplies:

Two tubes or images of your choice. I'm using the beautiful artwork of Suzanne Woolcott you must own a license to use her work. You can purchase her tubes at her online store here.

Let's begin:

Place your mask in your psp masks folder.

Open a new canvas 600x600 and flood fill white. We will crop and resize later.

Add a new raster layer then go to selections and select all. Open paper 15 and copy, paste into selection. Select none. Now go to Layers down to load/save mask. Load mask from disk and find your mask tde_73 and use my settings: Source luminance, Fit to canvas, Hide all mask, Invert transparency checked. Apply mask and then merge group. Resize your mask layer by 90% smartsize.

Open Double white frame. Resize the frame to 600 pixels. Then resize the frame 90% smartsize. Copy, paste as a new layer above your mask layer. Grab your magic wand and click in the middle of both frames and go to selections modify expand and expand 5. Open paper 18 and resize to 500 pixels. Copy and paste as a new layer on your canvas. Go to selections invert and then hit delete on your keyboard. Select none. Move your paper layer under your frame.

Use your magic wand to click in the center of one of the frames and selections modify expand 5. Open one of the tubes or images you plan on using and paste as a new layer. Resize if needed and position inside the frame. Go to selections invert hit delete on your keyboard. Repeat this process for the other frame just use a different tube or image. Dropshadow your tubes with my settings: 1,1, 50 5.00 black. Now dropshadow your frame.

Open the rosette lines and choose one of the lines of roses you like. Copy and paste as a new layer. Resize 80% smartsize and place at the bottom of your frame. Now duplicate and go to image down to flip and position them at the top of the frame. Dropshadow both rosette lines with the same settings as before.

Open Bow-pearl-1 resize 15% smartsize. Copy and paste as a new layer and position at the top left corner of your frame and rosette line. Use your deformation tool to rotate the bow alittle. Now duplicate your bow and go to image mirror, position in the right top corner of frame and rosette line. Dropshadow both bows.

Open bundle of papers. Resize 40% smartsize. Sharpen. Copy and paste as a new layer. Position in the lower left bottom corner of your frame. Move this layer down until it's just above your mask layer. Look at my tag for reference. Dropshadow.

Close off your white background then click on your crop tool. Then click on merged opaque and then click in the middle of your tag. Open your white background back up and resize your tag.

Add the proper copyrights and license if needed.

Time to add your text. I supplied the font that I used. I used size 72 for the text in my prayers. Then used size 95 for my name. Colors I used are foreground #7a2d2c, background #d48989. Stroke is set at one. Type out your text and convert to raster layer. Dropshadow. Save as a Jpeg and that's it your done.

This tutorial was created on November 18th, 2008. This tutorial was created from my mind if it resembles another tutorial it's purely coincidental. I'm using the gorgeous artwork of Suzanne Woolcott in this tutorial.

Supplies:

Tube of choice do not use the same tube unless you have the proper license to do so. You can purchase Suzanne Woolcotts work here.

Scrapkit I'm using is called Thankful and you can download it from Delicious Scraps here.

The mask and font I used are supplied in my supplies here.

The mask is from Weescottlass.

Let's Begin:

Open a new canvas size 600x600 flood fill white. We will crop and resize later.

Add a new raster layer then go to selections and click on select all. Open paper 4 copy and paste into selection. Select none. Open the mask from my supplies and minimize on your workspace. Go to layers and find new mask layer, down to from image. Find your mask in the drop down window and make sure source luminance is checked. Invert data uncheck. Now merge your group.

Open Frame square, Resize your frame to 500 pixels. Paste as a new layer on top of the mask layer. Grab your magic wand and click in the middle of your frame then go to selections modify expand by 5. Open paper 8 and resize it to 500 pixels. Copy paper 8 and paste as a new layer. Go to selections and invert then hit delete on your keyboard. Select none and move your paper layer under your frame layer.

Open felt tree and resize to 500 pixels. Then change your pixels to percent and resize your tree 50% smartsize, then resize 80% two times. paste your tree on your canvas and position how you like inside the frame. Duplicate the tree 2 times and position those also. Dropshadow your trees with my settings 2,2, 80, 6.00 color black.

Open clipart tag and resize it 50% smartsize, repeat the resize 2 more times then resize 80%. Sharpen your clipart and position where you think it looks best. Dropshadow with same settings as before.

Open a turkey of your choice from the kit and resize it using the same settings we did for the clipart tag. Position where you like and then dropshadow with same settings.

Open the tube you want to use and copy and paste as a new layer. Resize tube if needed. Position how you like. Dropshadow your tube and your frame same settings as before.

Open flower and resize 50% two times copy and paste as a new layer. Position in the top left corner of your frame and then duplicate. Go to image mirror and mirror you duplicate. Now dropshadow both flowers with the same settings as before.

Open bow with flower and resize 50% two times. copy and paste as a new layer and position at the bottom of your frame. Dropshadow with the same settings.

Open you Give Thanks wordart and resize it 50% two times and position it where you like. Dropshadow same settings.

Now Resize your tag. Add your proper copyright and license numbers if needed.

Open the font I supplied and minimize in your taskbar. Set your foreground color to black and your background color to #993c0f. Type out your text. Convert to raster layer. Now dropshadow your text with these settings. 1,1 50, 5.00 color black.

Save as a Jpeg and your done.
